About the position

As a Salesforce Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading and ensuring the successful delivery of Salesforce.com and other CRM implementation engagements. This position requires a deep understanding of both business and technical requirements, as you will be responsible for gathering key insights from clients and developing a comprehensive Salesforce implementation roadmap tailored to their unique needs. Your expertise will be crucial in executing and managing the delivery of end-to-end solutions, optimizing Salesforce functionality to enhance client operations. You will lead current state Salesforce assessments and optimizations, which involves hosting interview workshops across various process areas, reviewing the existing Salesforce instance, and identifying pain points and future state requirements. Your ability to develop lead-to-cash and Salesforce-specific recommendations will be essential in creating a roadmap for executing these recommendations effectively. Throughout each project, you will map functional requirements to Salesforce.com features and functionality, ensuring clear communication of solution decisions both internally and with clients. In addition to your technical skills, you will be expected to disseminate best practices on solution positioning and delivery, identify risks that may threaten project success, and recommend effective workarounds. You will also support pre-sales activities, participate in sales calls, and contribute to proposal development. As a leader in the Salesforce practice, you will help shape its direction and educate both internal and external audiences on Salesforce best practices. Your commitment to career development and technical training of staff will further enhance the capabilities of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and ensuring the successful delivery of Salesforce.com and other CRM implementation engagements.
  • Gathering key business and technical requirements from clients.
  • Developing Salesforce implementation roadmap for clients.
  • Executing and managing the delivery of end-to-end solutions, optimizing Salesforce functionality for clients.
  • Leading current state Salesforce and lead-to-cash assessments and optimizations.
  • Hosting interview workshops across various process areas to gather requirements.
  • Reviewing the Salesforce instance and documentation provided by the client.
  • Identifying pain points and future state requirements for clients.
  • Developing lead-to-cash and Salesforce specific recommendations.
  • Creating a roadmap to execute said recommendations.
  • Mapping functional requirements to Salesforce.com features and functionality.
  • Communicating solution decisions internally and with the customer throughout each project.
  • Disseminating best practices on solution positioning and delivery.
  • Identifying risks that threaten project success and recommending workarounds.
  • Testing and documenting fixes to ensure Salesforce solutions run smoothly.
  • Supporting pre-sales activities, including participating in sales calls and proposal development.
  • Helping to shape the direction of a growing Salesforce practice.
  • Educating internal and external audiences on Salesforce best practices.
  • Actively participating in career development activities and technical training of staff.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct full life cycle Salesforce implementation, upgrade, and support experience.
  • Tier 1 or Tier 2 consulting / professional services experience.
  • Experience facilitating design and configuration of Salesforce.
  • Experience with Salesforce cloud applications: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud (Salesforce CPQ).
  • Certifications in Salesforce.com and other cloud platforms.
  • Great work ethic with a customer service focus (high intensity).
  • At least 4 years of experience leading solution architecture design (business architecture, process architecture, integration architecture, user experience, process improvement).
  • Ability to lead workshops, including the gathering/documenting of requirements and use-cases and recommendation of envisioned processes.
  • Ability to assess functional and technical gaps in designs.
  • Customer oriented and great at building client relationships.
  • Flexibility to accommodate travel up to 25%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical).
  • Experience managing technical development by acting as a liaison between the technical team and the user community is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems outside of Salesforce.
  • Accounting, finance or operations experience.
  • Experience with Data Migration.
