About the position

The Salesforce Solution Architect at Builders FirstSource is responsible for designing and delivering robust Salesforce solutions across various clouds, including Sales, Service, Marketing, NetZero Cloud, and Field Service Lightning. This role involves leading technical discussions, translating business needs into technical solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable and secure Salesforce projects that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Salesforce architecture and integration, particularly with ERP systems like SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Salesforce solutions across multiple clouds.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business problems and design Salesforce solutions that leverage best practices.
  • Design and build complex integrations between Salesforce, ERP, and Web technologies.
  • Provide guidance on Salesforce architecture decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Define technical requirements, create system architecture documents, and manage solution delivery throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Own the Salesforce architecture and technology roadmap.
  • Conduct technical reviews and validation of implementation deliverables to ensure quality, scalability, and security.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce releases and features, proposing enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in Salesforce best practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Salesforce architect or solution architect experience.
  • Expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, NetZero Cloud, and Field Service Lightning (FSL).
  • Strong experience with integrated solutions, such as ERP and Web technologies using middleware tools like MuleSoft, Boomi, or custom APIs.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce data models, security models, and integration patterns.
  • Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), complex flows, and Visualforce development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex systems and design simple solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Salesforce core architect certifications such as Application Architect, Integration Architecture Designer, System Architect, and Technical Architect.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration with SAP.
  • Certified Field Service Consultant with proven experience architecting FSL solutions.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like Jira or Confluence.
