About the position

The Salesforce Solution Architect at CGI Group, Inc. is a pivotal role that requires a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and its capabilities. As a Platinum Salesforce Implementation Partner, CGI is committed to delivering exceptional solutions to its clients. The Salesforce Solution Architect will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate those into effective technical solutions using Salesforce technologies. This position is based in Atlanta, GA, and candidates are expected to work in a hybrid model, balancing time between the CGI office and client sites as necessary. In this role, the architect will be responsible for guiding the creation of solutions tailored to the specific requirements of CGI's Salesforce customer base. This includes communicating complex technical topics to non-technical audiences, cultivating strong client relationships through transparency and effective communication, and collaborating with project teams to shape technical solutions. The architect will also be tasked with creating technical design documentation, managing the Salesforce product backlog, and providing guidance in user story writing. The role demands a proactive approach to staying updated on new Salesforce features and releases, as well as facilitating discussions with stakeholders to extract critical business requirements. The Salesforce Solution Architect will also play a key role in business development, assisting in building proposals and working with sales teams to prescribe comprehensive solutions that meet both immediate project goals and long-term client needs. This includes providing project plans, estimates, and scope input for proposals and statements of work. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to coach and motivate a team, and a proven track record of successful Salesforce implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to audiences without deep technical skills.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with clients through transparency, organization, and impeccable communication.
  • Work with customers to understand current vs. future state roadmap.
  • Shape technical solutions and collect functional and non-functional requirements within a CGI Salesforce project team.
  • Create technical design documentation.
  • Work with CGI Salesforce development teams to meet development work timelines and adhere to solution standards.
  • Groom and refine the Salesforce product backlog for client projects.
  • Provide guidance in user story writing.
  • Describe and illustrate designs leveraging tools like Visio, Lucid, Mural.
  • Stay up to date on new Salesforce features/releases/products.
  • Facilitate discussions with both business and technical stakeholders to extract critical business requirements and present a technical vision & solution.
  • Assist in building proposals for business development opportunities.
  • Work with the client, sales team, business partners, and related practice area leaders to prescribe a complete solution.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of prior Salesforce hands-on experience as an architect.
  • Ability to configure and customize Salesforce.com environments with a deep understanding of governor limits, editions, and licensing.
  • Experience with multi-org deployment architectures and developing apps for AppExchange is a plus.
  • Understanding of front-end and back-end development including Aura Framework, Lightning Web Component (LWC), Visualforce, Apex, REST, and SOAP-based web services.
  • Experience with integration design patterns with Salesforce (leveraging an iPaaS or custom).
  • Experience with data migrations between Salesforce and other systems is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey information and recommendations to clients.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and direct work tasks to a team of Salesforce professionals.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to observe trends and make suggestions based on results.
