About the position

The Systems Administrator-Senior position at SelectHealth is a pivotal role that focuses on providing leadership and direction for systems administration activities, particularly within Salesforce. This position requires a senior-level professional who is experienced in all aspects of systems administration, including hardware and operating system availability, performance tuning, installation, security, and troubleshooting. The individual will function independently with minimal oversight, providing technical and professional guidance to peers while managing large and complex projects as needed. In this role, the Systems Administrator will consult with customers and management to set strategies for current and future architecture related to technologies associated with systems. The position also involves mentoring team members to enhance their skills and knowledge, assisting in the creation of quality initiatives to improve processes and increase efficiencies, and providing solutions to complex issues in all areas of technology related to systems. The administrator will be responsible for identifying and initiating changes that foster a positive and open team environment, as well as participating regularly in technology conferences or user group events. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the design and implementation of redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery to ensure effective protection and integrity of assets. The Systems Administrator will drive monitoring efforts to reduce the risk of hardware failure, excessive resource consumption, and service outages, while also making recommendations regarding processes that can be automated and suggesting improvements to preexisting automated processes.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with customers and management to set strategy for current and future architecture related to technologies associated with Systems.
  • Mentors other team members to increase their skill and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Systems from an accredited institution, or four years equivalent technical experience in systems administration or related technical field.
  • One year of systems experience including hands-on troubleshooting experience.
