About the position

The Systems Administrator-Senior position at SelectHealth is a pivotal role that focuses on providing leadership and direction for systems administration activities, particularly within Salesforce. This position requires a senior-level professional who is experienced in all aspects of systems administration, encompassing a full knowledge of the systems specialty area. The individual will perform administration and provide operational support for corporate systems, ensuring hardware and operating system availability, performance tuning, installation, security, and troubleshooting. The role functions independently with minimal oversight and direction, providing technical and professional guidance to peers and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. In this role, the Systems Administrator will consult with customers and management to set strategies for current and future architecture related to technologies associated with systems. The position involves managing large and complex projects, assisting in the creation of quality initiatives to improve processes and increase efficiencies, and providing solutions to complex issues in all areas of technology related to systems. The administrator will also identify and initiate changes that foster a positive and open team environment, regularly participate in technology conferences or user group events, and assist in designing and implementing redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery to ensure effective protection and integrity of assets. Additionally, the role includes driving monitoring efforts to reduce the risk of hardware failure, excessive resource consumption, and service outages. The Systems Administrator will make recommendations regarding processes that can be automated and suggest improvements to preexisting automated processes. This position is 100% remote, although candidates from certain states are not eligible for remote opportunities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Systems from an accredited institution, or four years equivalent technical experience in systems administration or related technical field.
  • One year of systems experience including hands-on troubleshooting experience.
