About the position

The Salesforce Technical Architect at Aperio (part of BlackRock) is responsible for designing and implementing scalable and secure solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role involves leading a multi-functional team to address strategic business initiatives related to customer relationship management and investment operations. The architect will work closely with product owners and various engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions while minimizing technical debt.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable solutions using a mixture of configuration and code to support business functions and product goals.
• Create and maintain Salesforce-centric architecture diagrams, including system landscape and integration sequence flows.
• Communicate with product managers and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive technical strategy execution.
• Support and maintain current Salesforce instances, including data model and user permissions.
• Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution design documents and architectural diagrams.
• Stay current with emerging Salesforce trends and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Salesforce Certified System Architect or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect certifications preferred.
• 10+ years of software development experience with core Java.
• 7+ years of experience in Salesforce Development including Custom Objects, Apex, and REST APIs.
• 4+ years of experience in building custom UI solutions using Salesforce Lightning and web technologies.
• Experience with Salesforce APIs and middleware solutions like Kafka and MuleSoft.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure ecosystem.
• Experience working in financial services.
