About the position

The Salesforce Technical Enterprise Architect at NMDP is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the organization's technology strategy and architecture within the cellular therapy industry. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business goals, ensuring that systems are secure, reliable, and scalable. The architect will lead the integration of Salesforce and other systems, providing technical guidance and promoting best practices in system design and development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the overall technology strategy and roadmap for the organization.
  • Ensure alignment between technology initiatives and business goals.
  • Provide guidance and direction to technology teams on system architecture, design, and development best practices and standards.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with business leadership to formulate technology strategies that harmonize with specific business requirements and the company's overall strategic vision.
  • Lead the development of the organization's technology roadmap, ensuring that technology initiatives advance the company's primary objectives.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to solution architects and development teams, promoting architectural and design excellence to deliver advanced enterprise solutions.
  • Spearhead the full integration of Salesforce orgs and other systems to streamline business processes.
  • Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in coding, design patterns, and integrations.
  • Ensure alignment with Salesforce's best practices, especially around declarative and programmatic features.
  • Guide the customization of Salesforce using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and other technologies as needed.
  • Define Data Models, Security models, and governance processes.
  • Guide the improvement of patient outcomes and the streamlining of service coordination by optimizing Salesforce's Care and Program Management modules.
  • Actively influence discussions and decisions within the Architecture Review Board (ARB).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or a combination of years of experience and/or certifications in information technology.
  • 8 years of IT architecture experience, specializing in enterprise architecture.
  • 4 years of experience leading multi-cloud Salesforce implementations as a lead architect.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, Salesforce Foundation, Sales, and Service Clouds.
  • Knowledge of DevOps processes, CI/CD tools, and deployment strategies for Salesforce environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, and FEAF.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the industry.
