About the position

The Salesforce Technical Project Manager will oversee operations and maintenance of a suite of business applications at a cabinet-level agency. This hands-on role requires managing multiple work streams in an Agile environment, ensuring the applications align with the agency's mission. The position demands strong management and technical skills, as well as effective communication with federal managers and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Master the current contract/performance work statement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to the government and provide overall leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to this task order.
  • Interface with the government and project team for all matters (performance, application, contractual).
  • Manage Salesforce and other applications, creating contract deliverables and ensuring accountability for submissions.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables.
  • Review and approve invoices.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules (road maps), milestone estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Manage and update the project roadmap of major business/technical initiatives.
  • Update agency SDLC documents.
  • Conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Manage staff performance and review and approve timekeeping records.
  • Participate in business development efforts, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • PMP Certification.
  • 4+ years of experience with Salesforce, including strong hands-on experience in implementation and integration.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT Modernization and Enhancement projects valued at $1 million or more per year.
  • 5+ years of experience in business process analysis/workflow improvement.
  • 5+ years of experience in dashboard development and generating reports using various BI tools like Power BI/Tableau/Crystal Reports.
  • 5+ years of experience working with waterfall/agile framework/methodology.
  • 1+ year of experience working with financial systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with custom development (including Java).
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud environments (including AWS and Azure).
  • Ability to execute strategy and deliverables for multiple clients and executives.
  • Previous experience with managing large-scale applications.
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills; ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expert communication skills: ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality accurate reports.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity while dealing directly with internal and external customers.
  • U.S. citizenship or a Green card Holder (and be willing to undergo a background investigation).

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree or higher.
  • Technical certifications (including CSM, ITIL, etc.).
  • SDLC experience of any type.
  • Software release management.
