About the position

We are currently seeking a Salesforce Technical Project Manager to manage Operations and Maintenance (O&M) on a suite of business applications at a cabinet-level agency. This role is a hands-on position working in an Agile environment, where the management of the suite of applications is critical to the Agency's mission every day of the year. The Salesforce Technical Project Manager plays an essential role in several work streams as they will interface with many IT systems. This position requires both management and technical skills to be successful, and experience as a federal contractor is essential. Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of the agency-contractor relationship are necessary, as this position involves interaction with numerous federal managers and other contracting companies. In this role, you will master the current contract and performance work statement, serving as the primary point of contact (POC) to the government and providing overall leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to this task order. You will be responsible for interfacing with the government and project team for all matters related to performance, application, and contractual obligations. Your responsibilities will include managing Salesforce and other applications, creating contract deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards, reviewing project deliverables, and approving invoices. You will also develop detailed work plans, schedules, milestone estimates, resource plans, and status reports, while managing and updating the project roadmap of major business and technical initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for updating agency Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documents, conducting project meetings, tracking project progress, managing staff performance, and participating in business development efforts as required. This position demands effective organizational, planning, and time management skills, as well as the ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will need to maintain the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity while dealing directly with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Mastering the current contract/performance work statement
  • Serving as the primary POC to the government and providing overall leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to this task order
  • Interfacing with the government and project team for all matters (performance, application, contractual)
  • Managing Salesforce and other applications
  • Creating contract deliverables and having accountability for contract deliverable submissions
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing project deliverables
  • Reviewing and approving invoices
  • Developing detailed work plans, schedules (road maps), milestone estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Managing and updating the project roadmap of major business/technical initiatives
  • Updating agency SDLC documents
  • Conducting project meetings and being responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Managing staff performance and reviewing and approving timekeeping records
  • Participating in business development efforts, as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • PMP Certification
  • 4+ years of experience with Salesforce (including strong hands-on experience in the implementation and integration of Salesforce)
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT Modernization and Enhancement projects valued at $1 million or more per year
  • 5+ years of experience in business process analysis/workflow improvement
  • 5+ years of experience in dashboard development and generating reports using various BI tools like Power BI/Tableau/Crystal Reports/etc.
  • 5+ years of experience working with waterfall/agile framework/methodology
  • 1+ year of experience working with financial systems
  • 2+ years of experience with custom development (including Java)
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud environments (including AWS and Azure)
  • Ability to execute strategy and deliverables for multiple clients and executives
  • Previous experience with managing large-scale applications
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills; ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced challenging environment
  • Expert communication skills: ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality accurate reports
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity while dealing directly with internal and external customers
  • U.S. citizenship or a Green card Holder (and be willing to undergo a background investigation)
