About the position

The Salesperson - Vice President role at Societe Generale is a high-client-touch position within the Corporate & Investment Banking sector, specifically focusing on the Global Markets Division. This role requires exceptional communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, particularly in the US insurance market. The successful candidate will manage coverage of over 50 US insurance companies, ensuring that cross-asset teams are effectively introduced to these relationships. The position involves the day-to-day execution of equity derivatives and light exotic options, necessitating a deep understanding of these financial instruments and the ability to train and manage junior personnel within the team. In addition to managing client relationships, the Vice President will work closely with internal trading, strategy, and engineering teams to generate innovative trade ideas and proactively pitch these to clients. The role also includes entertaining clients and setting up meetings to deepen relationships and showcase Societe Generale's cross-asset capabilities. A strong knowledge of SG's Proprietary Index Suite and the ability to pitch Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) to insurance clients is essential. The candidate must also have expertise in FIA index offerings to submit proposals and manage post-launch educational support. The role requires interaction with internal teams to price products and facilitate client inquiries, as well as managing all post-trade operations and coordinating with various teams for bookings. The Vice President will be responsible for client onboarding and KYC processes, and must stay updated on insurance market trends and accounting principles. This position demands high operational efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, making superior people skills crucial for constructive dialogue and cooperation with both internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with US insurance companies, managing coverage for over 50 clients.
  • Execute day-to-day operations of equity derivatives and light exotic options.
  • Train and manage junior personnel within the team.
  • Collaborate with internal trading, strategy, and engineering teams to generate new trade ideas for clients.
  • Entertain clients and set up meetings to develop deeper relationships and showcase SG's capabilities.

  • Oversee client onboarding and KYC processes.
  • Stay updated on insurance market trends and accounting principles.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication and sales skills.
  • Strong understanding of QIS strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of the US Annuity market (FIA, RILA, VA).
  • Introductory knowledge of regulatory and accounting regimes in the US.
  • Detailed knowledge of insurance company hedge programs.
  • High operational efficiency and extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Superior people skills for constructive dialogue and cooperation.
  • Deal-driven and highly energetic professional.
  • Knowledge of Structured Products and/or FX & Rates Derivatives is a strong plus.
  • Experience and understanding of EQD options and exotic instruments.
  • Experience marketing QIS strategies.
  • Senior sales trading experience of EQD options.
  • Must have covered US insurance companies.
