The Salesperson position at Advance Auto Parts is an entry-level role designed to support the DIY business and help achieve sales and service objectives. This role requires a good understanding of store systems, basic automotive knowledge, and familiarity with parts. The Salesperson will be responsible for sourcing products from various locations, including stores, hubs, and external suppliers, and will have in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. The position can be either part-time or full-time, and while fleet safety certification is preferred, it is not mandatory. In this role, the Salesperson will provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customers, both in-person and over the phone. They will be expected to achieve personal sales goals and contribute to the store's overall sales targets. The Salesperson will also perform DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installations, while maintaining product and operational standards within the store. Additionally, they will be responsible for various inventory processes, including truck put away, cycle counts, and managing back stock. Secondary responsibilities include ensuring store cleanliness, general stocking duties, and safely delivering parts to customers as needed. The ideal candidate will possess basic driving and navigation skills, friendly communication abilities, and a strong understanding of safety protocols. They should also be proficient in operating inventory systems and store equipment, as well as have knowledge of parts and automotive systems. The role requires effective communication skills in English, with Spanish being a plus, and the ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
