About the position

The Salon Receptionist at Glow Up Studio serves as the first point of contact for guests, setting a welcoming tone and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. This role involves managing guest interactions, scheduling appointments, and providing information about services, all while maintaining a professional and inviting atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a background in the beauty industry, contributing to the studio's reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create an inviting atmosphere.
• Manage guest intake, including scheduling and confirming appointments via phone, text, and email.
• Answer inquiries promptly and accurately across multiple communication channels.
• Recommend add-ons, enhancement services, and retail products to elevate the guest experience.
• Process transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with guest forms and ensure smooth check-in/check-out processes.
• Maintain the reception area to be tidy and welcoming.
• Support the team with light administrative tasks and operational needs during downtime.
• Share information about new services, promotions, and discounts with guests.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in a front desk or customer-facing role in a spa, med-spa, or beauty studio.
• Familiarity with facials, lash extensions, and lash/brow beauty services.
• Confidence in upselling services and retail products while providing clear and friendly communication to guests and team members.
• A positive attitude, polished appearance, and commitment to delivering outstanding service.
• Availability to work 3-4 days per week, including weekends, with shifts from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the studio.
