About the position
The Key Holder at Salt Life is a temporary position responsible for assisting in daily store operations, particularly during a Close Out Sale. This role involves taking on supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, ensuring excellent customer service, and achieving sales goals while promoting a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed store and personal sales goals.
- Demonstrate professionalism in communication and teamwork with customers and staff.
- Develop strong knowledge of Salt Life products and communicate effectively with customers.
- Take ownership of the sales floor in the absence of management, handling sales, merchandising, and customer issues.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational procedures.
- Process point of sale transactions accurately and complete banking procedures when assigned.
- Maintain an organized cash wrap area and participate in merchandising activities.
- Communicate employee concerns to management and promote a positive work environment.
- Follow loss prevention policies and report any safety concerns.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license required for banking duties.
- Two years of experience in a retail/customer environment preferred.
- One year of demonstrable experience in a leadership role preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with retail point of sale systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions based on procedures.
