Responsibilities

• Salvage birds with machine damaged parts or infected with Air Sac according to USDA specifications.
• Hang birds by a wing on the reprocessing line for processing.
• Use knives to salvage good parts from damaged birds.
• Pack salvaged parts in tubs with ice and label them appropriately.
• Condemn damaged parts as per company policy.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Must have at least 3 months of seniority at Tyson Foods.
• Ability to stand and walk for 10 hours.
• Experience using knives safely and effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a food processing environment.
• Knowledge of USDA specifications for poultry processing.
