About the position
The Salvage Sorter position at Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc. is a full-time role focused on transferring and sorting donations within a warehouse environment. This position plays a crucial part in supporting the organization's mission to help individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment by providing job training and employment opportunities. The role emphasizes compliance with safety and operational procedures while meeting production goals and contributing to a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example to consistently follow all procedures and best practices.
- Comply with Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc. policies, Donated Goods Retail standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the organization's safety and security policies and procedures.
- Transfer donations between material handling equipment utilizing hydraulically operated baling equipment.
- Meet minimum daily production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
- Equipment operation experience preferred, i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, balers, tippers, etc.
