About the position

The Parts Puller position at LKQ involves working in a salvage yard environment, where the primary responsibility is to accurately locate, identify, and safely pull automotive parts. The role requires basic mechanical abilities and automotive knowledge, along with a commitment to maintaining quality standards as indicated by supervision. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuvering around the yard or warehouse.
• Finding and retrieving parts.
• Packaging parts for delivery or prepping any paperwork involved with the parts.
• Pulling work orders.
• Operating a Tow motor or Order Picker.
• Pulling and prepping all sheet metal and other orders.
• Tagging all parts properly for destination.
• Communicating with Sales and Dispatch.
• Maintaining cleanliness in the work area.
• Lifting up to 75 lbs. without assistance.
• Identifying the correct pick location and sequence in accordance with the order.
• Working in a safe and efficient manner.
• Interacting with co-workers to develop a team environment.
• Picking the right item and quantity.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical abilities and automotive knowledge.
• Experience with order picker preferred.
• Self-motivated and dependable.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to stand for 8 - 10 hour shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to tolerate high and low temperature levels and occasional inclement driving conditions.
