About The Position
As a Graphic Designer for the San Diego Padres, you will play a crucial role in designing and creating both digital and print materials that represent the organization. Your work will encompass a variety of projects, including social media content, logos, digital banners, and signage. You will collaborate closely with the creative design group to produce high-quality visual content that aligns with the Padres' branding and marketing goals. This position requires strong collaboration skills, as you will work with the marketing team, photographers, website designers, and marketing specialists to ensure that all creative outputs meet the organization's standards and objectives. Your responsibilities will include graphic creation across multiple platforms, including print, digital, and web. You will be tasked with developing marketing collateral, client proposals, and pitches, as well as collaborating on the design of ballpark and outdoor signage, publications, packaging, merchandise, logos, infographics, and web banners. Additionally, you will support the video production staff by assisting in the design layout of the ballpark's LED displays, utilizing your skills in graphical layout software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. It is essential to maintain a positive and professional demeanor while representing the Club at all times. To succeed in this role, you will need a fundamental understanding of page layout, typography, and design principles, along with proven experience in creating PowerPoint presentations, infographics, web banners, and sponsorship elements. Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with MS Office products, is necessary, with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint. You will also need to demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational skills, as you will be handling a high volume of detailed work and managing multiple projects under strict deadlines. Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be vital in fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.
