About the position

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and companionship. This position requires a commitment to maintaining the dignity and respect of each individual while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide support for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, fostering a nurturing environment.
  • Ensure resident rights are upheld while delivering care in a respectful manner.
  • Monitor and document patient observations to report any changes in condition or behavior.
  • Assist with hospice care needs, providing comfort and support to clients and their families during difficult times.
  • Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community resources when appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in group home settings to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Administer first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a caregiver or in long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with home community care practices is advantageous.
  • Training or certification in first aid or CPR is beneficial.
  • A background working with individuals with diverse needs, including autism, is highly valued.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • A compassionate approach combined with patience and understanding in all interactions.
