About the position

The SAN Storage Administrator position at Eliassen Group is a remote contract role focused on managing and supporting SAN storage technologies within a large IT infrastructure. The role requires strong technical skills in SAN storage and Veritas Cluster System (VCS), along with excellent communication and documentation abilities. The successful candidate will work in a 24/7 environment, handling incident and change management while ensuring high availability of storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Administers high-availability clusters running Veritas Infoscale.
• Performs daily systems administration tasks.
• Manages user administration (setuser).
• Handles SAN replication.
• Assists in incident/change management/closure.
• Plans and executes changes using documented processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years of prior SAN Storage Technologies experience (SAN Connectivity, allocation/deallocation of storage).
• Strong expertise in Veritas Cluster System (VCS).
• Familiarity with RHEL 7/8 and Solaris 11.4.
• Experience with SSHD configuration and cron jobs.
• Understanding of BMC Remedy and Service NOW.
• Familiarity with VMWare/Vcenter for RHEL VM management.
• Knowledge of LDOMS configuration and ZFS/VDEVS.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows.
• Familiarity with Tripwire IDS and BladeLogic Server Management.
• Experience in a process-driven environment - Change Management.
• Familiarity with Ansible and Sendmail.
• Ability to work with shell and perl scripts.
• Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
