About the position

The Sandwich Artist at Gettysburg College is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and preparing a variety of hot and cold menu items. This full-time position requires working primarily in the evenings from Tuesday to Saturday, with Sundays and Mondays off. The role involves following specific recipes, managing food production, and directing student employees in food service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform all necessary functions required to produce hot/cold menu items by following specific recipes and using a production order for quantity to be produced.
• Responsible for adjusting quantity to incorporate any changes in menu items, student participation or other unpredictable circumstances.
• Follow recipes and proper preparation procedures for all items.
• Direct student employees in the proper procedures for production and service.
• Attend training pertaining to new software and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One to two years of food service experience is preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Successful candidates will work nights and weekends as scheduled.
• This position requires a lot of standing, bending, reaching and walking in addition to lifting up to 20 pounds.
