About The Position

Marathon Cheese is looking for a sanitation worker to join our team on the 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:00am). This position is crucial for cleaning and sanitizing the food processing plant and equipment to meet food safety and quality standards set by US Foods and regulatory bodies. The sanitation worker will disassemble and clean processing equipment without causing damage, reassemble equipment while maintaining organization of multiple parts, and visually inspect the equipment and processing areas for cleanliness. Teamwork is essential, as the sanitation worker will collaborate with other crew members to efficiently clean and sanitize the plant. Responsibilities also include completing required paperwork accurately and legibly before submitting it to the supervisor. The role involves working around processing equipment and using chemicals for sanitation, adhering to USDA, SQF, DDA, OSHA, and other regulations, as well as company policies regarding safety and sanitation.

Requirements

  • Able to read and write legibly.
  • Follow instructions and work with little or no direct supervision.
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Completion of pre-employment assessment.
  • Adhere to USDA Safety and Sanitation regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with food manufacturing, HACCP, GMP, or SSOPs preferred.
  • Previous sanitation experience preferred.
