About the position
The Sanitation team member at Indiana Packers Corporation is responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards. This role requires working during the third shift, from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and may involve overtime and weekend work. The position is essential for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment in the manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Cover motors, electrical plugs, and all computer equipment
- Use a pressure hose to spray down all equipment
- Scour equipment with chemical as needed
- Cleaning of pipes, walls, refrigeration units, etc.
- Perform all work assigned by supervisor
- Perform general housekeeping duties
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements
Requirements
- Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently
- Must be able to grip with wrist
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in cold temperatures in a damp environment
