About the position

The Sanitation Associate I is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the internal and external areas of the Manufacturing Plant and Office. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks, documentation, and compliance with sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Use floor scrubber to clean warehouse floor daily.
  • Separate trash components, compact cardboard bales, and manage trash container pickups.
  • Pick up and maintain boneyard trash and debris weekly.
  • Perform monthly cleaning in specific warehouse areas as per schedule.
  • Sweep, remove cobwebs, and mop cold storage areas bi-weekly, with monthly deep cleaning of trash carts.
  • Clean exterior grounds weekly by picking up trash and debris.
  • Deep clean picnic tables quarterly and forklifts weekly.
  • Organize washing/drying room, PPE, handwash station, and stock supplies as needed.
  • Perform weekly scale verification for production.
  • Keep all forms of documentation up to date on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Follow sanitation cleaning schedule and notify manager of any deviations.
  • Remove trash daily, including outside patio, and manage recycling properly.
  • Perform daily chemical tests and weekly titration in wash stations.
  • Clean drains weekly or as needed.
  • Document cleaning and sanitation of water nozzles monthly.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of janitorial and general cleaning supplies.
  • Submit reorder requests for low stock supplies to supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of automated hand wash stations and restock chemical solutions daily.
  • Clean offices, conference rooms, laboratory, warehouse, and rest areas.
  • Vacuum halls, wipe down racks, and mop all floors daily.
  • Advise supervisor of sanitation supplies and minor maintenance needs.
  • Communicate major repair needs to appropriate manager.
  • Respond to sanitation requests in a timely manner.
  • Make recommendations to upgrade sanitation operations and implement savings opportunities.
  • Complete cleaning logs daily, weekly, and monthly for each area of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

  • One to two years related experience or equivalent.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.
