About the position

The Sanitation Group Leader is responsible for overseeing sanitation processes within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves monitoring procedures, recommending improvements, and maintaining operational information to support the company's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates plant procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure safe and quality production and limit downtime.
• Ensures compliance with all standard operating procedures.
• Follows and documents plant procedures in cooperation with plant associates and suppliers.
• Monitors control programs and conducts periodic checks to ensure compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of area of responsibility and assists management in problem resolution.
• Reports required operational information to management.
• Ensures compliance with all GMP and Safety standards.
• Participates in GMP and inspections, correcting deficiencies and following up on work orders.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 3 years of experience in a food-processing, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing organization, preferably using computerized manufacturing equipment
• Demonstrated knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, food allergens, and pest control
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Demonstrated mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing, grasping, and balancing.
