About the position

The Sanitation Lead plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the facility. This position is responsible for overseeing the sanitation department's daily functions, ensuring that all products are produced in a hygienically clean environment. The ideal candidate will assist in building a sustainable sanitation program and empower team members to consistently meet compliance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day functions and responsibilities of the sanitation department.
• Assign team member tasks that benefit sanitation goals.
• Perform all job responsibilities to or above expectations when the team is challenged with labor.
• Train others on the 7 steps of sanitation essentials and safe chemical handling.
• Verify and validate critical sanitation responsibilities.
• Manage chemical and sanitation supply inventory.
• Track and document internal titrations percentages and ensure proper chemical storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sanitation closets and storage areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. or extensive previous knowledge in food manufacturing sanitation.
• Willingness to learn and execute sanitation processes to expectations.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and sanitation programs.
• Understanding of the importance of validation and verification in sanitation.
