Sanitation Technician

About the position

The Sanitation Technician at Medifast is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment for all internal customers. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing various areas and equipment within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The technician will complete daily checklists and report any findings to their supervisor, contributing to the overall mission of promoting health and wellness within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in all areas of the facility according to daily schedules.
• Clean and sanitize all restroom facilities as scheduled daily.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in the break room as scheduled daily.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners as needed daily.
• Strip and wax floors quarterly or as assigned.
• Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
• Complete daily checklists accurately and report findings to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-2 years previous related experience in cleaning or sanitation.
• Ability to work with cleaning products and solvents.
• Ability to follow both written and oral directions.

Nice-to-haves

• No high school diploma required in lieu of experience.
