About the position
The Sanitation, Warehouse position at Performance Food Group involves performing general janitorial and cleaning tasks within a warehouse facility, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas. The role requires adherence to safety policies and the proper handling of cleaning chemicals, ensuring a clean and safe working environment for all associates.
Responsibilities
- Perform general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation tasks in warehouse facilities, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas.
- Operate pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles as needed.
- Complete cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, and trash pick-up.
- Handle cleaning chemicals according to hazmat material sheets.
- Report any unsafe conditions or acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
- Complete all assigned Pure Safety training modules in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
- 3 - 6 Months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
Nice-to-haves
- 6 - 12 Months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience in a warehouse environment
- Pallet jack experience
- Preferred Professional Certification(s): Pallet Jack
