About the position

The SAO Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting project management activities for our premier client in Atlanta, Georgia. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively coordinate project-related tasks and ensure that all documentation and deliverables are tracked and managed efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and project management, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role involves creating project-related reports, documenting and tracking project risks and issues, and facilitating project meetings. The SAO Project Coordinator will also assist project managers in developing necessary documents and presentations, ensuring that all project artifacts are stored appropriately within the NextGen Project SharePoint site. This position is essential for maintaining effective communication and working relationships among project team members, and for ensuring that project activities are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Create project related reports from the project work breakdown structure.
  • Documents, tracks and receives project documentation and deliverables.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and attends project related meetings.
  • Documents and tracks project risks, issues, action items and decisions as part of the project management activities.
  • Transcribes and disseminates project meeting minutes.
  • Send follow-ups as necessary to ensure project activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Shares information and updates with project team members as relevant to project activities.
  • Follow-up and track project statuses and update the project tracking system with pertinent information.
  • Assist PM in developing necessary documents, presentations or reports.
  • Work with PMs on documenting project scope and high-level requirements.
  • Disseminate information related to project schedules.
  • Coordinate NextGen quality review and steering committee meetings. Capture notes and action items and disseminate as appropriate.
  • Assist in tracking, monitoring, and communicating project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during the implementation of the NextGen Project.
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with project team members.
  • Ensure all project related artifacts are stored in the proper location within the NextGen Project SharePoint site.
  • Other responsibilities added per management's discretion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND one year of IT related experience, OR an Associate's degree in a related field and three years of IT related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Microsoft Project or Microsoft Project Online.
  • Experienced in using Outlook, Visio, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
