About the position

The SAP ABAP Developer role at Deloitte focuses on developing and maintaining SAP solutions, particularly in the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) module, for the Government and Public Sector team. The position requires a strong background in SAP ABAP programming and customization to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with government regulations. The developer will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of public sector management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality SAP ABAP applications.
• Develop and modify SAP modules in SRM and connected systems.
• Perform complex ABAP programming, testing, and debugging functions related to SAP module implementation.
• Customize the SAP SRM solution for the public sector environment.
• Ensure seamless integration of SRM with other SAP modules like MM and FI.
• Provide ongoing support and enhancements for existing SAP SRM systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to define and review project scopes and timelines.
• Engage with functional teams to gather requirements and ensure compliance standards are met.
• Lead testing and implementation phases to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Ensure all SAP solutions comply with governmental regulations and standards.
• Stay updated with public sector trends to provide strategic advice on SAP solutions.
• Document and maintain all code changes and customizations according to compliance procedures.
• Provide training and assistance to team members and develop user guides for end-users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 2 years focused on SRM.
• Strong understanding of SAP modules, especially SRM, MM, and FI.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Must be able to acquire/maintain required level of Security clearance.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

• SAP Certification in ABAP Development.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of integration points between SAP SRM and other SAP Business Suite applications.
• Familiarity with public sector procurement and contracting regulations.
