About the position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a skilled ABAP Developer to design, implement, test, and support new and existing ABAP applications. This role involves working on workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms according to specifications and guidelines. The successful candidate will adhere to software development best practices and coding standards, create and maintain technical documentation, and collaborate with users to extract functional needs and determine requirements. Additionally, the developer will participate in system upgrades, migrations, and other technical projects, provide status reports, and offer training to users as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and support new and existing ABAP applications including workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms per specifications and guidelines.
• Adhere to software development best practices and coding standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, configurations and customizations.
• Collaborate with users to extract functional needs and determine requirements.
• Design, code, test, debug, install, document, and maintain computer applications as needed.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and other technical projects.
• Provide status reports as required.
• Provide training to users and others as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five to seven years of related experience.
• Strong programming knowledge of existing SAP design, enhancements, modules, and business processes.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and ABAP is required.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SAP Cloud Platform or other cloud-based SAP solutions is preferred.
• Understanding of SAP integration suite is a plus.
