The SAP BPC Backend Developer position is a remote contract role that focuses on the implementation and development of Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) solutions. The developer will be responsible for creating and implementing BPC script logic and BADI implementations tailored to meet specific business requirements. This includes designing and developing custom business rules, calculations, and other logic necessary for effective financial planning and analysis. A strong understanding of ABAP programming concepts, particularly Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS), is essential for this role. The developer will be tasked with developing custom ABAP programs and BADI implementations to fulfill specific requirements. Additionally, the position requires expertise in SAP BW modeling and integration with BPC, which involves designing and developing data models, InfoProviders, and DataSources within SAP BW, ensuring seamless integration with the BPC solution. Proficiency in ABAP related to BW is crucial, as the developer will need to create custom transformations, Data Transfer Processes (DTPs), and Process Chains. Familiarity with SAP BW data modeling concepts, such as InfoObjects, InfoAreas, and Advanced DataStore Objects (ADSOs), is also required, with BW/4 modeling experience being preferred. Furthermore, a strong functional knowledge and experience in Finance, Planning, and Analysis (FP&A) is necessary, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the media industry.
