About the position

The SAP Business Intelligence Analyst role is a 12-month contract position that will convert to full-time, requiring in-office presence four days a week in Atlanta. The analyst will be responsible for designing and developing reports and dashboards using various BI tools, providing application support, and collaborating with business partners to understand their needs and suggest reporting solutions. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, governance in BI processes, and staying current with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop reports/dashboards using SAP Business Objects, Tableau, and SAC.
  • Provide day-to-day application support for business colleagues.
  • Identify education, training, and process improvements for the wider employee base.
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and suggest reporting solutions.
  • Define new and refine existing solutions using best practices for data management and integration.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Support and implement governance across all areas of BI, including service management and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in data security reviews to ensure compliance with security requirements.
  • Design and develop prototypes/solutions from high-level requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and seek out new technologies.
  • Stay current with emerging BI technologies and develop a roadmap for progress.
  • Develop reports using SAP BOBJ and other BI tools to support various business processes.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to establish a comprehensive requirement gathering process.
  • Design and develop wireframes and prototypes to convey gathered requirements.
  • Create simple and complex reports using SAP BOBJ universes.
  • Utilize Web Intelligence to generate tabular and graphical reports.
  • Leverage Tableau Desktop and Power BI to create interactive dashboards.
  • Conduct report validation and quality assurance tasks.
  • Develop and maintain end-user training documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in Business Intelligence solutions using BI tools like SAP Business Objects, Tableau, SAC.
  • Experience working in distribution and/or manufacturing organizations.
  • 5-8 years experience in projects related to large/medium-scale Business Intelligence systems.
  • 5-8 years gathering, documenting, and transforming business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Experience with SQL queries and requirement analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing and coordinating with teams across multiple global regions.
  • Experience with other reporting tools is a plus.
