About the position

The CoE Architect at SAP is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and smooth operation of SAP software for customers in North America. This role involves analyzing SAP solutions, leading critical engagements, and providing architectural guidance to enhance business processes and customer satisfaction. The position requires strong functional and technical skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with IT managers and executives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead functional design validation workshops to identify risks and provide recommendations for optimizing business processes.
  • Resolve critical business process design issues and collaborate with SAP development to provide best practices and reference architecture.
  • Drive critical customer escalations and lead issues to resolution, building a trusted advisor relationship with customers.
  • Support customer implementations by providing architectural guidance and best practices for business processes.
  • Conduct deep root cause analysis and deliver services in complex environments, including on-premise and cloud systems.
  • Identify top issues and create action plans as a De-escalation Architect, leading analysis of system landscapes and core business processes.
  • Develop expert knowledge and support services for new products like Machine Learning and IoT.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, or engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of SAP product experience in key areas such as SAP Transportation Management, S/4HANA, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Development experience in programming languages such as ABAP, Java, or C++.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact with all levels of customers and management.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAP BTP, BOPF, and SAP FPM.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain management processes.
