About the position

The SAP Program Manager for transformation projects at Daikin Comfort Technologies will play a pivotal role in leading complex transformation projects within the SAP framework. This position is crucial for delivering SAP components that align with the company's strategic objectives. The Program Manager will oversee the digital transformation of One Daikin, ensuring that all projects are executed within scope, budget, and timeline while adhering to the company's quality standards. In this role, the Program Manager will lead various projects and subprojects, coordinating technical efforts across diverse teams. Establishing strong collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including offshore resources, is essential. The Program Manager will act as the owner of IT/SAP solutions within their areas of responsibility, developing and implementing comprehensive project management activities. This includes creating project plans, estimates, and prioritizing requirements from the discovery phase through to implementation. The Program Manager will proactively monitor project deliverables and financials, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Regular project and program management reviews will focus on governance and execution, ensuring that any escalations are handled efficiently and promptly. The Program Manager will represent the project activities to leadership, ensuring alignment with the overall direction and intent of the projects. Additionally, the role may involve performing other activities to support ongoing business needs, making it a dynamic and integral part of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and subprojects, including technical coordination of diverse teams.
• Manage SAP initiatives and establish strong collaboration with internal and external team members, including offshore resources.
• Act as the owner of IT/SAP solutions in the designated areas of responsibility.
• Develop and implement end-to-end project management activities, including project plans, estimates, and requirements from discovery through implementation.
• Proactively monitor, handle, and report on execution of deliverables and project financials.
• Manage several projects in parallel, ensuring effective governance and execution.
• Handle escalations in an efficient and timely manner.
• Represent and ensure alignment with Leadership on project activities and direction.
• Perform additional activities to support ongoing business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience, with at least 5 years in leading IT projects specifically related to SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in both functional and technical projects, including upgrades and new installations of SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Confirmed project management skills, with knowledge and experience in new technology projects; PMP certification is an advantage.
• Proven history of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
• Strong experience in risk and issue management, financial management, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in HVAC industry is a distinct advantage but not required.
