About the position

The Principal Technology Architect - SAP Data and Analytics at PSEG will leverage expert skills to define and deliver SAP data and analytics solutions. This role involves leading major SAP data and analytics programs, including migrations to new platforms, and requires a deep understanding of SAP business processes and technologies. The architect will work closely with stakeholders to translate business goals into effective data architectures and models, ensuring high-quality data management and analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for design, development, go-live and support of SAP Analytics projects within an entire IT project lifecycle.
• Implement comprehensive SAP Analytics backend/frontend solutions.
• Design functional and technical SAP architecture solutions to solve business use cases.
• Lead data migration projects to success during SAP implementations.
• Partner closely with internal business users and SAP team members to understand data needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate goals into SAP data & analytics architectures and models.
• Create and maintain reusable analytics artifacts and patterns, including data models and architectures.
• Develop data & analytics policies, standards, guidelines, and metrics that measure architectural quality and business outcomes.
• Work as part of the program management team on large programs, governing and shaping project delivery.
• Direct and control large specialist teams to deliver comprehensive SAP analytics and data-centric projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field.
• 8-15 years of experience in technology solution engineering, particularly in SAP data & analytics migration projects.
• Broad knowledge of SAP data modeling, metadata systems, data quality tools, BI and reporting, and database technologies.
• Experience in backend development on SAP BW platforms and frontend development with SAP tools.
• Good knowledge of data management, data integration, and database development techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in data & analytics architecture ownership and adoption.
