About the position

The SAP Data Quality and Data Governance Architect will lead initiatives focused on ensuring data integrity, compliance, and quality within the client's SAP ecosystem. This role is crucial for developing and implementing data quality and governance frameworks that align with business objectives, utilizing tools like BigEye and Alation for effective data management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust data quality and governance frameworks to support the client's business objectives.
• Leverage SAP expertise to establish seamless data quality and governance processes that integrate with SAP modules, particularly around order-to-cash, finance, and HR data.
• Utilize BigEye for data monitoring, anomaly detection, and real-time data quality management, setting up and configuring BigEye for optimal data observability.
• Use Alation to manage metadata, data cataloging, and ensure data discovery across the organization, promoting data literacy and compliance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards, and IT teams to align data governance policies with business objectives, enhancing data reliability and accuracy.
• Conduct regular data quality audits and enforce compliance standards, implementing measures to address data quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Create detailed documentation on data governance frameworks, data cataloging, and data monitoring practices, and train stakeholders on data quality tools and practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-8 years experience in data quality and governance roles, preferably within SAP environments.
• Proven expertise in BigEye and Alation is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of SAP data integration, data governance frameworks, and relevant data quality tools and technologies.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to diagnose data issues, assess root causes, and provide remediation strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
