About the position

The IT SAP Functional Analyst (FI/CO) is responsible for designing, building, and delivering the configuration of Finance and Controlling modules, technical solutioning for integrating software applications and SAP implementations, and working closely with the Data Integration team to develop interfaces and automate solutions. This role will also contribute to the implementation and maintenance of systems that support Woodgrain's SAP Finance and Controlling functions in accordance with the Project Management Life Cycle and will be heavily involved in blueprinting, partnering with the business users and subject matter experts to analyze, define, and implement lean business processes and system solutions that will be utilized across the Woodgrain organization during SAP implementations for mergers, acquisitions and upgrades, as well as the integration of non-SAP solutions with SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Configure the SAP FI/CO modules, developing test plans, and coordinating end-user testing.
  • Collaborate with members of the business and IT departments to lead upgrades and implementations in the SAP environment.
  • Manage and execute Document Archiving processes.
  • Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including the AP automation tool, while helping the business to maximize the automation rate.
  • Facilitate the integration of legacy systems with SAP for Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) during and after acquisitions.
  • Work with other SAP Analysts in relation to the FI/CO integration points with SD, MM, and WM to ensure seamless functionality and data integrity.
  • Participate in blueprinting sessions to define scope, gather business requirements, create concepts and designs that meet business needs, and document detailed specifications for the development of custom programs, testing, and implementing the automated solutions.
  • Perform GAP analysis, finding the gap between As-Is and To-Be processes.
  • Create and maintain data on builds, features, stories and tasks, and planned dates in the Project System of record and provide weekly status updates.
  • Document requirements for conversions, upgrades, interfaces, business logic, reports, forms, and workflow.
  • Deliver on multiple projects (sometimes concurrently) by effectively communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams including IT Applications, Infrastructure, SAP Basis, Security, Data Integration, Architecture, Business Engagement, the Business, and Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical area such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business. Equivalent training and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 5 years of previous experience working on SAP with the Finance and Controlling environment (i.e., GL, AP, AR, Document Archiving, Profitability Analysis, Closing Operations, Product Costing, Cost Object Controlling for Make-to-Stock Manufacturing and Sales Order Related Production, Validations and Substitutions, Material Ledger).
  • Must have experience with supporting a large-scale ERP implementation.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with Finance and Controlling terminology and methodology.
  • Knowledge of SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) configuration and integration points with the other SAP modules (i.e., PP, TM, MM, SD, and WM).
  • Experience with configuration in SAP ECC 6.0. Experience with S/4 HANA is preferred but not required.
