About the position
The SAP Finance/General Accounting Lead at Accenture is responsible for driving finance transformation projects within the Chemicals industry. This role involves leveraging SAP technologies to deliver innovative solutions that enhance business processes and drive value for clients. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in SAP Finance, leadership skills, and the ability to engage with senior client executives to address their business challenges. The lead will work collaboratively with teams to architect and implement end-to-end finance solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client objectives.
Responsibilities
- Team with clients on their SAP functional transformation programs using SAP application and functional process expertise.
- Lead teams of consultants to advise clients on building state-of-the-art SAP Chemicals industry cloud solutions.
- Engage with senior client Finance executives to discuss business challenges and the potential value of SAP solutions.
- Define clients' SAP journey through the development of business cases and roadmaps.
- Architect end-to-end Finance solutions leveraging SAP technologies and custom applications.
- Advise, design, and deliver Finance solutions based on industry best practices and SAP innovations.
- Lead large project teams to achieve transformational roadmaps, either onsite with clients or within Accenture.
- Become a trusted expert and advisor by staying current on regulations, trends, and innovations in the field.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP projects supporting Chemicals' clients.
- Minimum of 6 years functional/technical experience in SAP Finance specific to General Accounting/Ledger and related modules (AP, AR, Intercompany).
- Experience with at least 2 end-to-end SAP S/4 implementations, including project planning and solution architecture for Chemicals' clients.
- Experience driving complex workshops and leading design decisions in the SAP Finance area.
- Experience managing SAP delivery teams in a Global Delivery model.
- Prior experience in a Consulting/Advisory role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
