About the position
The SAP Finance/General Accounting Senior Manager at Accenture is a leadership role focused on driving finance transformation projects within the retail industry. This position involves collaborating with clients to implement SAP solutions that enhance operational efficiency and meet their unique business needs. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in SAP applications and a deep understanding of retail finance, enabling the manager to lead teams in delivering innovative solutions that leverage modern cloud-based and AI-enabled technologies.
Responsibilities
- Team with clients on their SAP functional transformation programs using SAP application and functional process expertise.
- Lead teams of consultants to advise clients on building state-of-the-art SAP Retail Industry cloud solutions.
- Engage with senior client Finance executives to discuss business challenges and the potential value of SAP solutions.
- Lead the development of business cases and roadmaps for clients' SAP journeys during sales origination and proposal development.
- Architect end-to-end Finance solutions leveraging SAP technologies and custom applications.
- Advise, design, and deliver Finance solutions based on industry best practices and SAP innovations.
- Lead large project teams to achieve transformational roadmaps, either onsite with clients or within Accenture.
- Become a trusted expert and advisor by staying current on regulations, trends, and innovations in the finance and SAP domains.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in SAP Finance solutions and retail industry knowledge.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor teams.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to engage clients effectively.
- Ability to translate complex client goals into actionable outcomes.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP cloud solutions.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled technologies in finance.
- Previous consulting experience in a similar role.
