About the position

The SAP Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team by testing and validating SAP financial management modules. This position involves collaboration with various departments to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP-based financial solutions, as well as providing training and support to end-users. The role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office and two days remote, and is aimed at candidates with a solid background in finance and SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate the functionality of SAP financial management modules and applications within the organization.
• Collaborate closely with the finance team, IT department, and project management to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP-based financial solutions.
• Work with the finance team and subject matter experts to understand and document business requirements, ensuring the SAP system is configured to meet those needs.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new SAP financial features or modules.
• Provide support to finance users on the effective use of SAP for financial management.
• Identify and report any issues or errors within the SAP financial modules, collaborating with the project team for resolution.
• Assist in the implementation and rollout of new SAP financial features or modules.
• Serve as a point of contact for finance-related SAP inquiries and support.
• Execute comprehensive test cases to validate the functionality of SAP financial modules, configurations, and integrations.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing on SAP financial systems.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues, working with IT and development teams for resolution.
• Act as a liaison between subject matter experts and the IT department, effectively communicating testing results and requirements.
• Support the development of training materials and sessions for finance end-users on the proper use of SAP financial modules.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with exposure to SAP.
• Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using SAP financial modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset management.
• Familiarity with SAP reporting and business intelligence tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
