About the position

As a SAP Functional Implementation Lead specializing in the Payroll Module at Deloitte, you will play a pivotal role in transforming human resources for our Government and Public Services (GPS) clients. This position offers a dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to advise clients on critical and complex issues, helping them align their business strategies with improved organizational and human resource performance. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to the successful implementation of the SAP Payroll Module. You will assist in developing system strategies, gathering and documenting business requirements, and leading fit-gap analyses. Your expertise will be essential in designing as-is and to-be business processes, demonstrating prototypes, configuring functionalities, conducting testing, and training client users. You will also be expected to perform project tasks independently and lead workstreams, directing the efforts of other team members. Your ability to anticipate client needs and formulate effective solutions will be key to your success. You will participate in and lead the development of deliverable content that meets client and contract requirements, while also reviewing deliverables for accuracy and quality. Responsibilities

  • Assist with system strategy, gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Lead fit-gap analysis and design as-is and to-be business processes.
  • Demonstrate prototypes and perform functional configuration.
  • Conduct testing and provide client user training.
  • Independently perform project tasks and lead workstreams, directing the efforts of others.
  • Develop deliverable content that meets client and contract needs.
  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality.
  • Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of consulting or industry experience with SAP HCM Payroll (PY) on-premise including wage configuration, gross to net calculations, posting to FI, Third Party remittances and performing payroll comparisons.
  • Experience with at least 2 full life cycle implementations of the Payroll module for SAP.
  • Knowledge of Personnel Administration (PA), Organization Management (OM), Benefits and Time Integration.
  • Experience with S4 migration.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel between 25-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Bachelor's degree.
