About the position

The Senior Business Systems Analyst position at PSEG is a critical role that focuses on aligning business systems with user needs, particularly within the SAP SuccessFactors environment. This position reports directly to the Applications Group Products Supervisor and is responsible for documenting requirements, establishing project scope and objectives, and determining strategies for implementing systems that achieve business goals. The analyst will gather and prioritize customer requirements while collaborating closely with various business functions to ensure that customer satisfaction goals are met. As a member of the SuccessFactors technology team, the Senior Business Systems Analyst will provide technical expertise to support SAP SuccessFactors modules, including Employee Central. This role requires excellent leadership and consultative support to key stakeholders, performing risk assessments, audits, and monitoring the architectural integrity of the systems. The analyst will also support daily operational aspects to ensure proper data flow, reporting, and software maintenance, working closely with internal IT teams and HR business partners on various projects. The position also entails maintaining standards of system performance and reliability by following established procedures, analyzing root causes, and addressing continuous improvement initiatives. The analyst will collaborate with HR and related business teams, SAP SuccessFactors support, consultants, and IT colleagues to efficiently address daily support issues and project initiatives. Additionally, the role includes supporting business requests for year-end audits, creating impactful analyses, and providing project management to ensure timely execution of projects with high quality. The analyst will also help drive technology updates and future strategies to enable full utilization of SuccessFactors and related tools, providing technical maintenance support, testing, audits, and additional analysis to ensure system integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders including HR and related business teams, SAP SuccessFactors support, consultants, and IT colleagues to address daily support issues or project initiatives.
  • Support overall HRIS functionality and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Assist with business requests to support year-end audits and provide support for internal audits and other projects.
  • Create meaningful and impactful analyses, generating reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent project management to ensure timely execution of projects with high quality.
  • Drive technology updates and future strategies that enable full utilization of SuccessFactors and related tools.
  • Provide technical maintenance support, testing, audits, and additional analysis to ensure system integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or a related technical field.
  • 4 or more years of HRIS systems experience with at least 2 years related work experience with the SuccessFactors suite of products.
  • 2+ years proven experience working with project teams to determine implementation strategy.
  • 1+ years proven experience with developing testing strategy for large complex projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently on technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with a wide range of people including peers, vendors, and leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Project or similar project management tool; MS Visio.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree, e.g. Masters of Information Technology.
  • Experience in a team lead role through projects and other work planning experiences.
  • SuccessFactors training and/or related certification(s).
