About the position

The SAP NS2 HANA Data Modeler role is focused on developing and optimizing data models within the SAP HANA environment, specifically for clients in the national security sector. This position requires a strong understanding of HANA architecture and the ability to create scalable data models that enhance data efficiency and performance. The role emphasizes collaboration with data owners and scientists to ensure effective data management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop dimensional and transactional calculated views in SAP HANA
• Evaluate source data systems for variances, anomalies, and efficiency
• Create reusable data models and calculated views that scale across the enterprise
• Optimize logical and metadata models
• Performance tuning of long running queries/procedures
• Collaborate with data owners and data scientists to understand relationships in enterprise source data

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Active TS/SCI + Polygraph clearance
• Strong understanding of HANA architecture
• Experience with enterprise scale relational databases
• Experience with building queries in SAP HANA studio using BW/4HANA Objects
• Experience with reporting tools - Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, Jupyter Notebooks
• Experience with developing SAP S4/HANA CDS Views
• Experience in ABAP programming skills and SQL Skills
• Experience with SDLC methodologies: Agile, Waterfall
