About the position

As a SAP Payroll Implementation Lead at Deloitte, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the human resources landscape for our clients, particularly within the Government and Public Services (GPS) sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with clients in a dynamic environment, where you will help them align their business strategies with effective human resource practices. Your work will focus on enhancing organizational performance and fostering a culture that prioritizes business value. You will be responsible for advising clients on critical issues, guiding them through complex challenges, and ensuring that their HR functions are optimized for success. In this role, you will assist with various tasks including system strategy development, gathering and documenting business requirements, leading fit-gap analyses, and designing both as-is and to-be business processes. You will also be involved in prototype demonstrations, functional configuration, testing, and training client users. Your ability to perform project tasks independently and lead workstreams will be essential, as you will direct the efforts of others and ensure that deliverables meet client needs and contractual obligations. Additionally, you will review deliverables for accuracy and quality, leveraging your prior experience to anticipate client needs and devise effective solutions. Responsibilities

  • Assist with system strategy, gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Lead fit-gap analysis and design as-is and to-be business processes.
  • Conduct prototype demonstrations and perform functional configuration.
  • Oversee testing and client user training.
  • Independently perform project tasks and lead workstreams, directing the efforts of others.
  • Participate in and lead the development of deliverable content that meets client needs.
  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality.
  • Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues.

Requirements

  • 5 years of consulting or industry experience with SAP HCM Payroll (PY) on-premise, including wage configuration, gross to net calculations, posting to FI, and Third Party remittances.
  • Experience with at least two full life cycle implementations of the Payroll module for SAP.
  • Experience with S4 migration.
  • Knowledge of Personnel Administration (PA), Organization Management (OM), Benefits, and Time Integration.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel between 25-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Bachelor's degree.
