About the position

The SAP PPDS IBP Resource will lead and manage the configuration of Embedded PPDS in SAP S/4HANA for a 6-month project in Atlanta, GA. This role involves optimizing planning and scheduling processes, ensuring seamless integration with production operations, and providing ongoing support for the S4 PPDS and IBP systems. The position requires collaboration with business users and offshore teams to enhance MRP procedures and support master data changes, while also acting as the main point of contact for planning and scheduling activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the configuration of Embedded PPDS in SAP S/4HANA.
• Utilize the Optimizer functionality to improve scheduling and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in S4 Production Planning, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
• Work with business users to optimize MRP procedures and ensure seamless integration with production processes.
• Oversee the configuration and maintenance of essential master data in PP and PPDS.
• Ensure the correct application of Special Processing Keys and other relevant master data.
• Take a leadership role in the S4 Planning Implementation project.
• Act as the main point of contact for planning and scheduling related activities.
• Work with an offshore functional team to provide AMS support for day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the Client Center of Excellence Lead and other stakeholders for IBP integration with S4.
• Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement initiatives for the S4 PPDS and IBP systems.
• Lead efforts to ensure that changes in master data are properly implemented within the MRP environment.
• Support or lead testing activities, including developing test scenarios and executing tests.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Embedded PPDS in S/4HANA, with strong knowledge of heuristics in planning and scheduling.
• Deep expertise in S4 Production Planning (PP), including MRP processes and different MRP types.
• Strong understanding of master data in PP and PPDS, including routings, BOM, scrap rates, lot sizing, and MRP types.
• Proven experience in leading S4 Planning Implementations and working closely with business users.
• IBP Integration knowledge, specifically integrating IBP with S4 for end-to-end planning processes.
• Strong experience working with offshore teams to provide AMS support.
• Solid understanding of the Forecast to Plan process and the role of IBP in integrated business planning.
• SAP IBP knowledge and hands-on experience with IBP-S4 integration.
• Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional projects in SAP PPDS/IBP environments.
