About the position
The SAP RAR Consultant position is focused on the configuration and implementation of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) to ensure compliance with IFRS 15. This role requires expertise in revenue recognition processes and integration with order-to-cash (OTC) processes, making it essential for the consultant to have a strong understanding of both SAP RAR functionalities and relevant accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Configure and implement SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) to comply with IFRS 15.
- Integrate RAR with the order-to-cash (OTC) process and revenue creation.
- Apply knowledge of IFRS 15 and ASC 606 to facilitate the transition to the Revenue Recognition process.
- Manage the five-step Revenue Recognition process: Contract, Obligations, Price, Allocate Price to Obligations, Recognize Revenue.
- Utilize SME knowledge in transaction processing, revenue allocation, and posting runs.
Requirements
- Proven project experience with SAP RAR configuration and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and ASC 606 standards.
- Experience with the transition to Revenue Recognition processes.
- Expertise in transaction processing and revenue allocation within SAP RAR.
