About the position
The SAP RAR Functional Consultant role focuses on leveraging expertise in SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting) to design, configure, and integrate solutions with other modules such as FI (Financial Accounting), SD (Sales and Distribution), and BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management). The consultant will be responsible for leading projects, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, and facilitating the order-to-cash process while adhering to accounting standards like IFRS 16.
Responsibilities
- Design and configure SAP RAR solutions integrating with FI, SD, and BRIM modules.
- Lead two full life cycle implementations of the SAP RAR module, including migration processes.
- Understand and apply the order-to-cash process, including integration with SD/FICO modules and BRIM processes.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS 16 and manage the Revenue Recognition process effectively.
- Utilize BRF+ for business process configuration as needed.
- Demonstrate project leadership by coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering detailed designs.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting business and functional requirements, and management-level proposals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in SAP RAR with a focus on design and configuration.
- Two full life cycle implementations of the SAP RAR module, including migration experience.
- In-depth understanding of the order-to-cash process and integration with SD/FICO modules.
- Knowledge of IFRS 16, COPA, and Revenue Recognition processes.
- Experience in solution design and configuration within RAR, SD, and FI/CO.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for business and functional requirements.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in S/4 HANA is preferred.
- Knowledge of BRF+ is highly desired.
- Prior experience in high tech or software industries with a good understanding of accounting concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or CPA/CPA equivalent is preferred.
