About the position

The SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud Technical Architect will lead the technical architecture for a 9+ month project focused on implementing SAP S/4 HANA in a public cloud environment. This role involves ensuring that the technical design aligns with business requirements, providing strategic direction to the technical team, and overseeing the integration strategy for the project. The architect will manage API integrations, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure best practices in coding and testing are followed throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define and oversee the technical architecture of the S/4 HANA Public Cloud implementation.
• Ensure that the technical design aligns with business requirements and project goals.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the technical team.
• Lead the integration strategy for the project, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Oversee the implementation of the SAP Integration Suite, managing API integrations and data flows.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of all components.
• Direct the development approach, utilizing key user extensibility and developer extensibility.
• Ensure best practices in coding, technical unit testing, and code reviews.
• Manage the development lifecycle, from technical specifications to deployment.
• Collaborate with other workstream leaders to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones, particularly within the 8-month Dali Build Timeline.
• Communicate technical progress and challenges to project stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers and technical specialists.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Drive the Central Business Configuration (CBC) to ensure accurate and efficient setup.
• Oversee system provisioning, ensuring that environments are properly configured and maintained.
• Interface with the SAP service center to address and resolve any technical issues promptly.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in leading technical teams within large-scale SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud implementations.
• Proven track record in managing complex technical projects from inception to completion.
• Deep understanding of architecture, deployment, and configuration.
• Expertise in implementing and managing integrations, including API Management and Cloud Integrations.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming, including the RESTful Application Programming (RAP) Model.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and SAP Cloud Platform.
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Azure.
• Expertise in CBC configuration and system provisioning.
• Experience interfacing with SAP service centers to manage and resolve technical issues.
