About the position

The SAP S/4 HANA Transportation Management (TM) Consultant will play a crucial role in configuring, implementing, and supporting transportation management solutions within a dynamic logistics environment. This position requires deep expertise in SAP TM modules and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to meet unique business requirements while driving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, design, configure, and implement SAP TM solutions that meet unique business requirements.
• Provide subject matter expertise on SAP TM modules such as Order Management, Planning, Freight Execution, Charge Calculation, and Settlement.
• Seamlessly integrate SAP TM with SAP EWM and any third-party Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex configuration and integration issues related to SAP TM.
• Conduct data analysis and optimize logistics processes, enhancing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Support the migration of transportation management processes into the SAP S/4 HANA environment.
• Address and manage support tickets related to transportation and logistics operations.
• Perform data conversion, cutover activities, and support system transitions.
• Provide thorough documentation of the analysis, design processes, functional specifications, and test plans.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-6 years of hands-on experience in SAP TM, with at least 1-2 full lifecycle implementations on SAP S/4 HANA TM (Embedded).
• Expertise in Logistics Execution, shipment document types, transportation planning, shipment cost documents, and related processes.
• Deep understanding of logistics integration with FI and MM, as well as working with third-party logistics interfaces such as TMS, Bourque, EDI 410, and EDI 404.
• Strong knowledge of inter/intra-company processes related to transportation.
• Experience with writing functional specifications, collaborating with ABAP/PI teams, and managing integration across systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with BRF+ or other rule-building tools within SAP TM.
• Familiarity with logistics pricing mechanisms.
• Experience working with Barge and Vessel movements.
