About the position

The SAP S4 HANA Consultant with Google Cloud Platform experience is responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data architectures that leverage Google Cloud services. This role focuses on integrating SAP S/4HANA with Google Cloud, optimizing data pipelines, and providing technical leadership to the data engineering team. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that data solutions align with business goals and meet performance and cost-efficiency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Integrate SAP S/4HANA with Google Cloud Platform services.
• Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines using Apache Spark on Google Cloud Platform.
• Design and implement end-to-end data architectures leveraging Google Cloud services.
• Develop and manage scalable data ingestion pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Provide guidance for designing secure, scalable, and efficient data solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement real-time streaming and batch processing pipelines using Apache Spark and Dataflow.
• Implement data governance, access controls, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineering teams to define data requirements.
• Optimize Apache Spark jobs for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership to the data engineering team, mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Expert-level programming proficiency in Python, Java, and Scala.
• Extensive hands-on experience with big data technologies, including Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Yarn, MapReduce, Pig, Kafka, and PySpark.
• Proficient in Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
• Expertise in Apache Spark for both batch and real-time processing.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, IAM, encryption mechanisms, and compliance frameworks within Google Cloud Platform environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Google Cloud Platform Certifications such as Professional Data Engineer or Apache Spark and Python certifications.
• Experience with Data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI.
